The Chi Ball & The Magnetism of Assumption

Introduction

In this blog post, I will be talking about mental magnetism, how it manifests itself as the infamous chi ball, how the nervous system plays a role in the phenomenon of the chi ball, and how learning this little bit of chi philosophy transformed the way I view the use of the law of assumption.

Before I ever heard of chi balls, manifestation, or Neville Goddard, my siblings and I were already experimenting with energy — we just didn’t call it that. We called it a game. A magic trick.

Three smooth stones. Two pressed together tightly in someone’s hands. A third stone is moving in slow oscillations through the space between arms and torso. As they hold their hands towards the other person, right in front of them. Fifteen to twenty passes, over the thumbs and index fingers, below the pinky finger, you’d go. Then the moment of truth — try to gently pull the two stones apart.

They felt magnetic. You would feel subtle but quite obvious resistance. The more oscillation around the thumbs and under the pinky, the more obvious the magnetic force.

Not just stuck. Not just friction. Magnetic.

Years later, I learned to form the “chi ball” between my palms and felt the same invisible resistance. Pressure. Density. A subtle force pushing back.

So what was happening? Were we moving energy? Activating magnetism? Shifting the ether?

Let’s talk about it — grounded, mystical, and in detail.

The 3 Stones: How the Nervous System Replicates Magnetism

When two stones are pressed together firmly for an extended period, something subtle begins to happen — not to the stones, but to the body.

The muscles in the hands and forearms engage. Micro-tension builds. Grip strength increases slightly without conscious awareness. The longer the pressure is maintained, the more the nervous system calibrates around resistance.

Add repetition — the third stone moving rhythmically through the torso gap — and you introduce anticipation. The brain starts predicting that something is “building.”

And here is the secret: your brain does not just detect force. It predicts force.

When it expects resistance, it increases muscular output subtly. When you attempt to separate the stones, your own nervous system creates additional tension. The sensation of magnetism is born.

The rocks did not change.

Your perception did.

This is not imagination. It is neurology. The body can simulate external force through internal activation. Children discovered this intuitively.

And the neat part? Well, if you don’t introduce the third stone doing the rounds, then there is no “magnetism at all”. It was wild then, and it still works. Try it.

The Chi Ball: A Softer Version of the Same Mechanism

Now bring your hands up. Rub them together. Separate them slowly. Hover your palms a few inches apart. Almost immediately, you may feel tingling or a bit of warmth.

Now cup your palms so the insides are facing each other in front of you, and slowly expand and compress the circle like opening. A magnetic cushion will form between your hands. This sensation emerges from the same architecture as the stones, but larger and subtler, with the feel of an invisible ball between your palms growing and pulsing as your hands go inward and out.

This phenomenon is possibly due to:

  • Heightened sensory attention
  • Activation of nerve-dense palms
  • Micro muscle co-contraction
  • Predictive touch circuits activating before contact

Your brain’s neural pathways partially “fire” the touch response even though your hands are not touching. The result? A phantom density that feels external.

The chi ball is not about throwing energy across the room. It is about learning how perception becomes sensation.

And that is powerful. Especially for a person who wants to master the art of visualization.

Body Awareness: The Real Alchemy

Both the stone experiment and the chi ball reveal something profound: the nervous system is a simulator.

It can generate resistance. It can amplify sensation. It can turn expectation into embodied experience. The human brain does not know the difference between a real event and an imagined event. To your brain, that chi ball might as well be a real invisible magnetised ball of energy.

When you practice forming a chi ball, you are training:

  • Interoception (inner body awareness)
  • Focused attention
  • visualization strength
  • Emotional regulation
  • Sensory discrimination

You are learning how to convert imagination into felt reality.

And that skill transfers directly into manifestation work.

Neville Goddard & The Law of Assumption

Neville Goddard taught that you must “assume the feeling of the wish fulfilled.” Not think about it. Feel it.

When you assume something is already true, your nervous system begins aligning around that expectation. Posture shifts. Tone shifts. Decisions shift. Risk tolerance shifts. Pattern recognition shifts as the new neurons fire away, altering belief systems and creating new ones.

The world appears to respond — because you are responding differently.

Just like the stones.

Just like the chi ball.

Assumption activates internal force. The subconscious impresses it upon the psyche and etheric field and manifestation beings immediately.

Doubt as Friction: Moving the Etheric Field

Here’s where we elevate the conversation. Where things get tricky for the newbies. In manifestation spaces, doubt is often treated like poison; some pretend it is not there, others try to punch through. I used to treat it like something to eliminate. Something that “ruins” the spell.

See, the thing is… Without resistance, there is no felt force. It’s simple physics.

What if doubt is friction?

When you assume something new — wealth, love, confidence — doubt naturally arises. That internal tension creates emotional charge. Emotional charge strengthens neural wiring. I used to tense up and panic when this happened.

I learned that without the friction, the car will try to spin but not move forward. Hence, the ridges and the same idea goes for shoes. What if I tell you, in a mystical sense, that the friction moves the etheric field?

In grounded language, you could say tension increases consolidation of belief. Belief keeps the whole assumption and manifestation machine moving.

When you hold the assumption despite doubt, you are building density in the nervous system. The state becomes more stable when you train your mind and body not to fear this feeling but let it in. Embody it and then transmute it into a belief system that will 10x your confidence and manifestation.

You can read all about that here in detail.

From Children’s Games to Conscious Creation

After all this time, I now know that three stones were never about magnetism. The chi ball is not about supernatural power.

They are awareness drills.

They reveal how easily the body translates expectation into sensation. How quickly perception becomes physical experience. Once you understand this, manifestation stops being a fantasy and becomes embodiment work.

You are training your nervous system to operate from a chosen state, and that is what bends reality. And when your internal state stabilizes, your actions align. When actions align, outcomes shift. When outcomes shift, it feels like the Universe responded.

So whenever doubts arise,e I simply feel it and channel it into my manifestation practice. “This is all for my benefit, leading to the wish fulfilled.” All the fears, doubts, anxiety, and worry are showing up for my benefit, leading to the wishfulfilled. As Neville famously said; Feeling is the secret.

And it doesn’t matter if it’s good, bad, or neutral feelings. Focus on your wishfulfilled and know that the negative emotions charging through your nervous system are just fuel, friction to help you pull forward to your desires manifesting.

I will stop here for now. See you in the next one.

Summary

  • The 3-stone “magnetism” effect is a nervous system simulation of force.
  • The chi ball uses the same predictive touch and muscle activation mechanisms.
  • Both practices increase body awareness and visualization strength.
  • The Law of Assumption works through nervous system alignment.
  • Doubt acts as friction that strengthens embodied belief.
  • True alchemy is internal state transformation, not external magic.
